The Art Centre Basel is pleased to present the accompanying catalogue for our exhibition ‘African Art‘. This is a first-time presentation of a selection of about 200 choice items from the renowned Han Coray Collection (1916-1928), today part of the collection of the Museum of Ethnology, Zurich University.

The catalogue has contributions by well-known artists and art historians on African art, African aesthetics and cultural background.
